Technical Designer/ Generative AI and Gameplay AI Programmer

On this project I used my knowledge of both design and programming to create something that has never been done before at DigiPen! I was apart of the AI team on this project where we made it possible to talk to an AI and solve puzzles with! Specifically, I worked with getting the AI to understand what the player says and take actions in the game world based off of what the player wants the NPC to accomplish! Recently, I also spoke at a professional panel about my work at LVL UP Expo 2025!

Hello, My name is Maddison DeVlaeminck! 👋

As a Junior at DigiPen Institute of Technology, I’m pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Game Design with a Minor in Computer Science. I love combining both design and programming, where I can craft cohesive and engaging experiences.

Currently, my specializations lie in technical and systems design and I have recently developed a growing interest in expanding my knowledge to other disciplines such as AI programming, technical art, gameplay design, and gameplay programming.

When I’m not designing or coding, you’ll find me crocheting, biking, playing video games, or spending time with my cat, Yuzu!
